Easter

Easter 2008

Easter is by far one of the easiest times to invite a friend to church, and also one of the highest attended Sunday’s of the year.  In light of this we want to remind you that we will be holding two identical worship services on Easter, one at 9:00am and one at 10:30am.  Children kindergarten and up will be joining in worship for this special celebration.

We also want to encourage you to pray about who God has laid on your heart to invite to join you for worship on Easter.  Don’t be afraid to ask, the worst that can happen is that they could say no.

We also want to remind everyone who is a regular at Dayspring to be prepared to serve others on Easter Sunday.  There are three ways you can serve others this Easter.

1.  Look around for people or things that look lost or out of place.  If you see anything that needs to be done—a piece of paper that needs to be picked up; a person who looks confused or anxious—introduce yourself, and find out how you may be able to help them.  One of the historically great things about Dayspring is the way we all pull together to meet whatever need exists.

2.  Remember:  The closer to the core, the further from the door!  Please come a little early and park a little farther away than usual.  This small sacrifice will ensure that those who are visiting are treated to the best we have to offer.

3.  Come early, come to the front, and scoot over! If you are a person who does not normally need to leave the Celebration Service with a child or physical problem, then we would ask that you come to the front and slide to the middle.  We want to be sure to provide seats in the back and on the edges for those who have special needs or may slip in late.  Please make it a point to come in, move to the front, and scoot toward the middle.

We look forward to worshiping with you, your family, and friends this Easter.
